On the problem of justification of the term “ethnothesaurus”

The article presents the main provisions of theory thesaurus-type dictionaries, gives definitions thesaurus, describes relationship thesaurus with type writing, considers Sapir-Whorf l inguistic relativity and their connection way thinking methods conceptualizing extra-linguistic reality by representatives different ethnic cultures. authors propose ideographic writing as one models ethnocognitive science and, using example dictionary “Shuo wen jie zi”, substantiate expediency term “ethnothesaurus”.
